Welder, Saw & Assembly

Job Summary:
This position welds, saws and assembles products, floating between fabrication departments based on business needs.
Primary Functions:
- Receives instructions, prints and work orders for jobs. Plans details of working procedures, tools and materials requirements.
- Fabricates product for the Assembly Department by cutting, burning and welding various metals.
- Repairs product by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment.
- Cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded. Sets up, assembles and tacks weld parts.
- Builds up worn or defective surfaces.
- Uses burning equipment to dismantle assemblies and to cut materials to size and shape.
- Uses sand blaster and glass beading equipment to surface finish manufactured parts.
- Produces high quality assembled products in accordance with customer requirements.
- Operates industrial saw.
- Maintains high standards of safety and quality.
- Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED. Trade school preferred.
- Completion of welding certifications and/or apprenticeship preferred.
- One or more years of welding experience in school and/or workplace
- Must be able to perform the physical demands of the job including:
- Safely navigate a manufacturing environment
- Extended periods of standing, and able to stoop, bend, twist, push, pull and reach
- Able to use computer equipment
- Sufficient manual dexterity for assembly work
- Able to wear required PPE for welding, saw and assembly work
- Perform frequent lifting up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
